Good means supporting over 3,300 nonprofits

We are recognized as one of the most philanthropic companies in Colorado, donating nearly $5 million to nonprofits in 2018, and bringing our charitable donations to over $65 million since 2000.

FirstBank helped launch and continues to be the main partner behind Colorado Gives Day and Arizona Gives Day, which have raised more than $230 million for nonprofits since their inceptions ($217 million in CO and $17 million in AZ). In addition, all FirstBank officers serve on boards and committees of nonprofit organizations, and we provide employees 16 hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO) annually to support causes they're passionate about.

All employees receive a financial stake in the bank's success as stock owners. FirstBank covers partial costs for classes at any university/technical school for employees and their children, resulting in more than $4 million towards educational support.

Over one third of our workforce has been with FirstBank for 10 years or more, and we have been named a "Top Workplace" by the Denver Post for the past eight years. We were also ranked #26 out of 872 national organizations by the research firm, Workplace Dynamics.

In addition to providing best in class personalized customer service to our clients, we believe economic prosperity begins with successful businesses and that's our motivation to help them grow.

As part of our commitment to help businesses grow, FirstBank hires its own customers for company events and promotions. From catering companies to food trucks and other local businesses, we focus on helping small business succeed.

Over the years, FirstBank has hosted multiple business contests that have rewarded deserving businesses with cash prizes. With our tagline of 'banking for good' in mind, 2018 entrants were asked to submit short videos demonstrating how they were committed to making a positive impact for their communities, customers, or employees. The winners received cash prizes ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, free advertising, and marketing materials to help their businesses grow.
