Colorado-based FirstBank entered the Phoenix market on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, with the opening of a new bank in the Esplanade II at 2525 East Camelback Road. Bryce Lloyd has been named president of the new bank, according to John Ikard, President and CEO of FirstBank Holding Company.
FirstBank plans to open three more branches in the Phoenix metro area within the year. Two of them will be in Scottsdale (90th and Via Linda, Indian School and Miller) and one will be in Gilbert (Queen Creek and Val Vista).
“We looked at other locations but decided that Phoenix was probably the best market for us. They have great demographics and a real pro-business attitude,” said Ikard.
Lloyd graduated from Colorado College in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1989 with a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Marketing. Lloyd joined FirstBank in 1989.
Customers visiting the new bank during the grand opening will receive a free gift and a $50 Visa Gift Card when they open a new personal checking account. They are also promoting a special rate for a limited time on six- or 12-month Premier Time Accounts. The bank is open 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A night depository and a 1STTeller ATM are also available 24 hours daily.
The new bank offers a full range of checking and savings accounts, consumer loans including mortgage loans and home equity loans, and a full range of commercial loans, business accounts and services.
FirstBank customers also have the benefit of 24 hour telephone banking and Free Internet Banking with eStatements at www.efirstbank.com.
